Summit Kidzone Director/Intern

Kidzone Director/Full-time Summer Internship (working to a Salaried position in September) Job Description – Summer 2010 Summit Church is seeking a full-time Intern to work in residence at Summit Church for the Summer of 2010 (with the possibility of a full-time salary in September of 2010). 20 hours a week of the position is devoted to the development of Summit KidZONE (the K-5th grade ministry of Summit Church). The following tasks are requirements of the position: - Training and communicating with our volunteer Staff on a weekly basis - Assembling Curriculum for lessons and Small groups in Kidzone each week - Coordinating the Set-up and Tear Down crews for Mobile Kid’s church - Coordinating Games and Worship Teams - Recruiting Volunteers - Growing the Ministry in Fun and Creative ways. - Organizing VBS and/or Camp for kids ministry - The Intern is expected to minister EVERY Sunday during the duration of the Internship The other 20 hours per week of this position are devoted to youth ministry, church leadership, participation in the weekly staff meetings, Small Group Leadership over volunteers (in the Children’s Ministry) and working hand-in-hand with Venessa Petermen, our Pre-School and Nursery Director and Pastor Shawn Gibson, our Youth Pastor. Compensation Includes: Housing, Ministry Expense Reimbursements for kidzone ($50 weekly), Stipend for living expenses ($200 per week), Monthly payment of Student Loans for June, July and August. Reimbursement of Ministry travel (.30 cents a mile). Based on performance for the summer, the Intern may be offered at full-time salaried position in September.
