Summer Intern

We are a turnaround church that is currently emerging in a new community under a new name. We are contemporary, growing, and definitely charismatic. I have personally been involved in children's ministries through directing crusade style VBS, children's camps for the Oregon district, conducting Big Day Events for children (outreaches reaching up to 1000 people at a time.) We also have a great Kid's pastor who comes out of Maury Davis' church in Nashville, TN who conducts a Nickolodeon style Kid's church. We are looking for 2-4 students who are studying Children's Ministries to help us conduct a 9 week summer daycamp here at our brand new facility. It is part of a launch to help us develop an after school program in our community, and the "campers" will be a mix of church kids and community kids. Daily activities will include arts and crafts, Bible club, pool time, organized games, weekly field trips to local AZ points of interest for kids. I have conducted these daycamps in a former church using an intern from NCU. It is a great learning opportunity and will really allow the student to engage the skills learned in their studies. They will also participate in the Wed and Sunday morning ministries of the church. We offer interns $75. a week, and housing/food in a host home. We will also take an offering for them at the end of the summer. Our people have been very generous in their giving in the past. I am willing to assist in whatever requirments NCU might have to help allow the intern to gain credit for the summer's work. We would like them to come on a week or 2 before the summer camp begins and stay a little after based on their needs, and due to the fact that we are an extended school year, they will have time to go back home for a couple of weeks before they have to return to school. The daycamp runs June and July, so arrival around May 20th and Departure around August 5th -10th is good.
