Student Release
In order to apply for a placement, you will need a site account that is approved for job seeking.
I DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT
If you don't have an account, you will need to register for one. Don't worry, the process is painless. Make sure that when you fill out the form to create your account that you click the 'I am a student or alumni looking for an internship or volunteer position' checkbox on the registration page. The registration page can be found here (REGISTER).
I ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT
If you already have an account you are halfway there. Make sure you are logged in (LOGIN). Once you are logged in, header over to your account page, then click the tab entitle "Apply for Role". For a shortcut, click (HERE) to go there now. Make sure you click the "I am a student or alumni looking for an internship or volunteer position" checkbox.
If you've completed either of the steps listed in the "Want to apply for a placement? You need an account" FAQ, you should be good to go. Now all you need to do is wait and we will review your request. Once approved, you will be notified by email, and then you will be able to apply to any and all placements on this site. To make sure that you get this email, make sure to add info@youthandleadership.com to your email provider's list of accepted email senders.
Now that you've been approved as a "job seeker" on the site you should see a couple of new links in the upper-right corner of your screen. The links and their uses are:
- CREATE and RESUME: These links will aid you in creating your resume. All job seekers must have a resume on the site in order to apply for opportunities.
- JOBS APPLIED FOR: This will show all the placements you have shown interest in.
To show interest for a placement, simply find an opportunity and click the "I'm Interested" button that shows up just above the placement description. Upon clicking that button, the organization responsible for that placement will be immediately notified of your interest and it will then be their responsibility to contact you.
